I commented on my colleague's Blog assignment 7 on The Death Penalty
Very Interesting topic. Now that i think about it, The United States should stop capital punishment. I do agree that the money that is spent on the death penalty should be used for something that will help our country be better. And you are right, being put in prison for life and not getting a chance at parole or any type of freedom, should be punishment enough. I do belief that it is not fair when innocent people get killed. Also, it is true that race has a big factor on the way the system gets rid of the prisoners. I hope that they look into abolishing the death penalty because their interests should be on more important things like getting innocent people their freedom and focusing on more issues like poverty, homelessness, the economy closed hands.
